Privacy Policy — WAWebPrivacy

Who we are

WAWebPrivacy is a free Chrome extension by Propar that blurs contact names, photos and chat messages on WhatsApp Web to protect you from screen and status spying.

What the blur feature does

The blur is applied entirely in your own browser using CSS. It does not read, store, or transmit the content of your WhatsApp messages, names, or photos anywhere. Hovering reveals an item locally, on your screen only.

Data we collect (only with your consent)

On first run the extension asks whether you agree to share the WhatsApp phone number that your browser is signed in with. If — and only if — you tap “Allow”, that number is sent once to our server so we can understand our audience and tell you about our related product, WA CRM. You can turn this off at any time from the extension popup, and the blur features work fully whether you allow it or not.

How we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising networks, profiling, or creditworthiness. The number, if you shared it, is used only by Propar to contact you about, and improve, our own products.

Your choices

Toggle the “Share my WhatsApp number” option off in the popup at any time to stop sharing. To request deletion of a previously shared number, email wa.messenger.ext@gmail.com.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the effective date above.
